Outlook Desktop Application Office 365


All users who are licensed to use the desktop application for Outlook can do the following to get the new application to work.

  1. Delete all old profiles out of outlook.

    1. Open up control Panel and change “View by: Category” to “View by: Small Icons”

    2. For both “Mail (32-bit)” and “Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016) (32-bit)” Delete all the old profiles.

  1. c. Once all profiles have deleted from “Mail (32-bit)” and “Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016) (32-bit).” Open up Outlook Office 365, ensure that the launcher only says Outlook and not Outlook 2013.

  1. When opening Outlook should automatically import the user login information. You maybe prompt for credentials, if so enter your normal login password.

  2. You are now able to access all of your email from the desktop application instead of the web application.

  3. Repeat for desktop computer/terminal server if needed.
